Shooting Star Lodge was founded in the early 90s by Elly Mlanga who is still owning the lodge. Starting as a simple bar/restaurant and B&B, over the years the small enterprise has metamorphosed from a simple beach bar and banda cottages to the authentic African boutique lodge that it is today, increasing the quality without losing the connection to the traditional roots.
